How Brand Context Is Used
Section titled “How Brand Context Is Used”When an AI agent sends a search query to your store via MCP, Bot It prepends your brand context to the query before forwarding it to Shopify. This means Shopify’s search results are influenced by your brand positioning.
On the response side, your brand context is included alongside product data so the AI agent has the full picture when making recommendations.
Tips for Writing Good Brand Context
Section titled “Tips for Writing Good Brand Context”- Be specific. “Premium sustainable menswear for professionals” is better than “We sell clothes.”
- Include differentiators. What makes you different from competitors?
- Write naturally. AI agents parse prose better than bullet points.
- Keep shipping/returns conversational. “Free shipping on all orders over $50, delivered in 3-5 business days” reads better than a policy table.
Plan Availability
