Section titled “Do I need to change my Shopify theme?”No. Bot It works at the infrastructure level via Shopify’s Agentic Storefront API and App Proxy. Your theme, storefront, and customer experience remain unchanged. The optional WebMCP extension (Pro) adds invisible agent tools with no visible UI.
Which AI agents does Bot It work with?
Section titled “Which AI agents does Bot It work with?”Bot It works with any AI agent that uses the MCP protocol, including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and ClawdBot. Browser-based agents (Chrome, Edge) are supported via WebMCP on the Pro plan.
Does Bot It slow down my store?
Section titled “Does Bot It slow down my store?”No. Bot It operates on AI agent queries only. Human shoppers browse your store at full speed. The enrichment pipeline is designed for minimal latency.
How long does setup take?
Section titled “How long does setup take?”Most stores are fully set up in under 15 minutes. Install the Shopify app, authorize the connection, configure your brand voice, and Bot It starts serving discovery files immediately.
Free Plan
Section titled “Free Plan”What do I get on the Free plan?
Section titled “What do I get on the Free plan?”The Free plan gives you full access to Bot It’s core discovery tools: UCP manifest, agents.txt, llms.txt, commerce.txt, the brand voice editor, and unlimited product and collection narratives. Everything you need to make your store visible to AI agents.
Is the Free plan really free forever?
Section titled “Is the Free plan really free forever?”Yes. There is no time limit, no trial period, and no feature degradation on the Free plan.
Pro Plan
Section titled “Pro Plan”What does the Pro plan add?
Section titled “What does the Pro plan add?”Pro unlocks the MCP Enrichment Proxy, the real-time layer that intercepts AI agent queries and injects your brand context, review data, and product narratives. You also get WebMCP browser tools, the analytics dashboard, review integration, and Knowledge Base sync.
How does the 30-day free trial work?
Section titled “How does the 30-day free trial work?”When you upgrade to Pro, you get 30 days of full access at no cost. Billing is handled entirely through Shopify. If you decide Pro isn’t for you, you’ll simply drop back to the Free plan with no charges.
What is the MCP Enrichment Proxy?
Section titled “What is the MCP Enrichment Proxy?”It’s Bot It’s core Pro feature. When AI agents query your store via MCP, the proxy intercepts the request, enriches it with your brand voice, review data, and product narratives, then returns an optimized response. This is what makes AI agents recommend your products.

What is the UCP manifest?
Section titled “What is the UCP manifest?”The Universal Commerce Protocol manifest is a JSON file served at /.well-known/ucp that tells AI agents what your store supports, how to interact with it, and what services are available. Learn more →
Can I control which AI agents access my store?
Section titled “Can I control which AI agents access my store?”Yes. The Agent Access page in your Bot It dashboard lets you create rules for specific agents (allow, disallow, or allow with crawl delay). By default, all major AI agents are allowed.
